Beechcraft Bonanza A36.

Serial number E1456.

Delivered new to Australian distributor in 1979 after a transPacific ferry flight.

VH-MPT was purchased by the current owner, a retired airline pilot, in 2004 and has been in the hands of and only flown by the owner for the last 18 years. It has always been hangared and has been meticulously maintained. No expense has been spared.

The last annual service was completed in November 2021. The aircraft has been maintained to the Australian CASA requirements with all service bulletins and airworthiness directions incorporated. The aircraft has been maintained by RapAir of Archerfield Australia since 2004.

The current owner has had the interior refitted with highest quality hide coverings and new carpet by Lahona Trimming of Melbourne. The exterior was stripped to bare metal, fully inspected for corrosion and repainted in 2013. A photographic record of this process is available.

Power Plant:

The installation is a D'Shannon IO 550 300 HP conversion. A factory new engine was fitted by the current owner in 2004. A new D'Shannon engine baffle kit was installed post a bulk strip of the engine in June 2014. The engine is fitted with a RAM camshaft and GAMI injectors. The propeller is a Hartzell Top Prop fitted via STC with 500 hours since regular overhaul in 2013. This is an extremely smooth, cool running engine/prop combination with 240 hours remaining on the engine.

The engine has been operated rich of peak for it's entire life. The owner has toured widely in the aircraft including numerous overwater flights. The aircraft has never been used for circuits, practice engine failure simulations or any training for that matter. It has always been thoroughly warmed and cooled down almost never operated for less than a 60-minute cruise at recommended RPM.

During periods of inactivity the aircraft has benefited from the use of a correctly installed Battery Minder Airframe Interface Kit and Tanis Dehumidifier.

Airframe:

Very good condition and corrosion free. Elevators have been reskinned in original specification magnesium. The aircraft is very "straight" and fast, no roll trim required in cruise.

Avionics:
